Our Story:
It started in November 2025, on a family holiday in Spain.
I was using a roll-top backpack and was surprised by how practical it was. It felt like a reminder that backpacks don’t have to be bulky or unstylish, even on everyday family trips.
But I kept thinking there was room to improve it.
I don’t come from a design background and I didn’t really know much about backpacks. I just had a clear idea of what I wanted from one.
Around that time, my partner Lauren mentioned the idea of having a built-in rain cover. That idea stuck with me.
Not a separate cover you have to remember, but something built into the bag itself — there if you need it, but not affecting how it looks or works day to day.
Living in England, that made a lot of sense. You can leave the house in good weather and still get caught in the rain without much warning.
After we got back from Spain, I started working on turning that idea into something real.
Over the next eight months, alongside a full-time job and raising two children, I worked closely with our manufacturer, going through a lot of trial and error to get it right. Lauren helped a lot throughout the process, giving feedback and shaping the idea as it developed.
This is our first product. We’re hoping to build on it over time.
